Name: | Nathan Kerr |
Gender: | Male |
Age: | 23 |
Descended from: | Hestia |
Personality: | He means well. Really, he does. Nathan Kerr is a man who has tried very hard for many years to be a better person than either of his parents, and his closest friends will say that he has succeeded, but he still struggles at times with his anger management. On a good day, he is a very protective, compassionate individual who goes above and beyond for his clients in finding them a home that can be a true personal sanctuary, that they can see themselves spending the rest of their lives in, at a price that they can afford. He even has an associate on speed-dial to take in temporary residents that can not afford other apartments. On a bad day, he is controlling and overbearing, trying to push his clients into what he feels is best for them and getting far too invested into the lives of people he only knows through work. This is usually what leads him to calling his associate, as the man is not very easy to live with. On his absolute worst days, Nathan's temper can get the best of him, causing him to snap at his clients at moments and yell at contractors and crooked sellers more often. However, it should be noted that he has yet to come to blows over a business deal. This is a big deal. Good job, Nathan. |
Distinguishing marks or traits: | An old, deep scar on his right shoulder where some skin was scrapped off when he landed against some metal sheeting in a fight as a kid. |
Hue: | Black |
Abilities: | Once his abilities are activated, Nathan is capable of nullifying any intentional violence in his presence. His radius of influence starts at about three feet (and will increase with time and practice), but the basic effect is the same regardless: punches do not land, bullets do not hit, and even poison has no effects. Even if only one side of the conflict is within his circle of influence, neither side would be able to successfully attack the other. |
History: | Nathan's family situation was always strained, at best, and they never seemed to stay under the same roof for longer than a few months (largely due to unpaid rent). After moving to Athens Harbor in his first year of high school, Nathan quickly befriended the youngest Wicker sibling and was eventually considered an honorary member of their family--so much so that his friend's older sibling actually took him in as a room mate for nearly a year after high school while he was took his pre-licensing courses and licensing exams. |
Other: | Nathan enjoys cooking (especially baking) and will usually have a tray of homemade snacks or desserts set out during open houses (usually cookies or cupcakes). |
Clients: | Emily Cornary was looking for an apartment to rent prior to moving out of Cash's |
Shya Mafest rented an apartment
Haidee Kathryn rented an apartment with a roommate
Dorian Kasen rented half a duplex
Jade Sachiel bought land on which she built a house
Jace Carter bought a dojo and the apartment above
Madison Carter is looking for a space to start a dance studio
2017-01-10 [Synirria]: Hmmm I'm thinking he come's off as a little OP... No god or descendant should have that much power... I like your idea just tone it down a bit
2017-01-10 [ancienteye]: Any suggestions on how? (I was kind of worried about that...)
2017-01-10 [Synirria]: *Taps chin* Hmmm let my think about it... put it in italics so we remember to come back to it maybe?
2017-01-10 [ancienteye]: Or highlight it? XD
2017-01-10 [Synirria]: That'll work
2017-01-11 [ancienteye]: Maybe something fire-based since Tilly's abilities aren't? Although, I'd prefer his abilities not be violent. :/
2017-01-11 [Synirria]: No no, I like that he can stop violence... just maybe not... completely
2017-01-11 [ancienteye]: So we just need a better limit?
2017-01-11 [Synirria]: Yes, you can keep the ability, just reign them in a bit
2017-01-11 [ancienteye]: Ok, but to what level do you think it should be?
2017-01-13 [ancienteye]: Should there be a limited radius of influence, or should his power be less potent in general?
2017-01-13 [Synirria]: *Chews on bottom lip* Hmmm those are both viable options... fudge...
2017-01-13 [ancienteye]: Uh...Well, how could I make his power less potent? If we can't figure that out, I'll just do the "radius of influence" bit.
2017-01-14 [The Black Cat in Your Path]: Hmmm... *thinks* I really like the powers, but I agree, just a smidge too powerful. His radius is fine, although it should be limited a bit--at least at first when his powers are new, like he has to train up to a bigger radius of influence--as for completely ceasing all violence... Hmmm... Maybe he can only cease certain types of violence, like intentionally malicious?
2017-01-14 [ancienteye]: So, not anything accidental?
2017-01-14 [The Black Cat in Your Path]: right
2017-01-14 [ancienteye]: Would a yard (three feet) work for his initial radius of influence?
2017-01-14 [The Black Cat in Your Path]: Yeah, that would be a great start, I think. Then he has to be relatively close to the person in order to influence them.
2017-01-14 [Synirria]: Exactly
2017-01-14 [ancienteye]: Awesome! I'll set that up (and maybe work on the other two profile sections...).
